Interpreting For HIV/AIDS  Health Care Providers

This training is FREE and available to all agencies directly funded through DHSP

ABOUT THE TRAINING

Special Service for Groups / PALS for Health, assesses for language proficiency and trains bilingual/bicultural health care providers on the skills of interpreting using the California Statewide Connecting Worlds Training© curriculum. In addition to the Interpreting curriculum, a variety of modules that cover specific HIV social issues and Cultural Competency in the health
care setting are presented.

By joining us for this training, you will ensure that your agency is offering accurate and effective interpretation to its limited English proficient HIV/AIDS patients in a culturally sensitive manner. We encourage you to increase the skills of your bilingual/bicultural staff members serving people living with HIV and AIDS.
