Clinical Social Worker, HIV/AIDS Initiative, Los Angeles, CA (Part time, 15 hours per week)
The Actors Fund seeks a Clinical Social Worker to provide services at The Palm View, a residence for 42 low-income entertainment professionals with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities in West Hollywood, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for developing and facilitating individual services and group activities that will help encourage healthy aging and develop a sense of community among residents. You will work in conjunction with the Los Angeles Office HIV/AIDS Initiative team and provide comprehensive and clinically focused case management and support services to residents of the Palm View. In addition, you will plan and coordinate a variety of activities for the Palm View Residents as well as clients of The Actors Fund HIV/AIDS Initiative that builds upon and maximizes the creative skill set inherent in our population. This role is ideal for an organized, compassionate, creative and inventive Clinical Social Worker.

REQUIREMENTS
To interview for this position, you must have a Master of Social Work degree, LCSW preferred. We are ideally looking for someone with 2 years’ experience working with Disability and HIV/AIDS related issues and concerns, Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Dual Diagnosis, as well as experience working with seniors and aging in place.

- Experience working with special needs adult population.
- Demonstrates strong clinical and engagement skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and other agencies.
- Ability to be self-motivated.
- Understanding of Fair Housing rules and regulations helpful.
- Working with Property Management, interdisciplinary teams helpful.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a part-time hourly position based in the Western Region offices in Los Angeles. Clinical Supervision by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker will be provided.
