Latino Commission on AIDS invites you to SPARK! Ideas, Discussion, Brainstorm, Solutions on 08/02/18 9:00am-12:30pm, Center at Cathedral Plaza
Spark! are half-day, case-scenario-based sessions designed to stimulate discussion, develop new perspectives, and support peer-to-peer learning opportunities through the sharing of experiences and successful practices in the field in a short, fun, and meaningful way.
-The goal of the Spark! Seminars is to enhance and strengthen the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the HIV workforce within community based organizations.
-The topics will help organizations achieve an efficient and effective coordinated community response to HIV prevention and care.
-The format will foster the skills to quickly adapt to rapid developments in the HIV prevention and treatment field, a necessary tool for innovation.

AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC)
The AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC) is a National Cancer Institute-supported clinical trials group founded in 1995 to support innovative trials for AIDS-related cancers. The AMC is composed of 36 Clinical Trials Sites worldwide, five Working Groups, an Administrative Office, a Statistical Center, a Biorepository, and an Operations and Data Management Center. HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN)
The HPTN is dedicated to the discovery and development of new and innovative research strategies to reduce the acquisition and transmission of HIV. The HPTN has more than 50 ongoing or completed clinical trials in over 15 countries at more than 75 research site and is supported through the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). HPTN 083 is a study being done through the HPTN to evaluate the efficacy of the long-acting injectable agent, cabotegravir (CAB LA), for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in HIV-uninfected men and transgender women who have sex with men (MSM and TGW). This network study at UCLA currently has the following position open:

The ACTG is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health through the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and supports the largest Network of expert clinical and translational investigators and therapeutic clinical trials units in the world, including sites in resource-limited countries. These investigators and units serve as the major resource for HIV/AIDS research, treatment, care, and training/education in their communities and UCLA currently has the following position open:

The Actors Fund will be able to validate parking for the following location: S.C. Prestige Parking: 5657 Wilshire Boulevard. Lot entrance is on Hauser, on the west side of the street, ½ block North from the corner of Wilshire. (Building entry/exit is located directly next door to Black Dog Café.) This is valet parking. We have arranged this service with the parking office and NO TIPPING IS NECESSARY.
Important Note About Parking: While they do validate as indicated above there are some people that choose to park at metered street parking in the area. If you choose street parking over these lots, please read all parking signs carefully, as restrictions apply. Most importantly, DO NOT PARK ALONG WILSHIRE BOULEVARD between the hours of 7-9am and 4-7pm (Monday – Friday) or your car will be ticketed and towed. This applies even if you are parked at a meter
