National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is an annual observance to recognize the impact of HIV on women and girls. This year, the  Commission on Status of Women In Partnership with Councilmember Gil Cedillo, Council District One,  HOLA, the Department of Recreation, and Parks and the Los Angeles County HIV Drug & Alcohol Task Force are coming together to produce an awareness event. We are also collaborating with the following community sponsors: AIDS Project Los Angeles; AIDS Healthcare Foundation; the Alcoholism Center for Women, Heart of Art Gallery; and the Los Angeles Women’s HIV/AIDS Task Force. Our event will take place at the Levitt Pavilion in Macarthur Park (2230 W 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90057) on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
