The Health Emphasis is proud to announce its 2nd Multicultural Neuropsychology Conference (MNC) at Alliant International University, Los Angeles on April 11th 2015, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Last year’s conference was a success; and we look forward to another inspiring event.  This year we have three excellent speakers lined up: Dr. Terece Bell, Ph.D.; Dr. April Thames, Ph.D.; Dr. Olivia Hsin, Ph.D. who will be speaking on a variety of topics including how to use a neuropsychological approach to assess learning disabilities in children and adolescents from underserved communities, and understanding the influence of psychosocial factors such as stereotype threat on neuropsychological test performance.  Once again, we will also be hosting a poster-session in which graduate students will share their knowledge of current clinical issues and/or recent work in the areas of multicultural neuropsychology and health assessment.  Lunch will be provided and licensed mental health professionals will be able to earn 3 CEUs for attending the entire conference.

Alliant International University is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing eduation for psychologists.  Alliant maintains responsibility for the program and its content.  Alliant is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide continuing education for MFTs and LCSWs (provider#PCE234).  Alliant is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education for Nurses (provider#CEP11235).
