About Us: The mission of The Laurel Foundation is to empower children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS, transgender youth, and the at-risk youth population through educational and support programs in a safe and trusting environment. The Laurel Foundation’s programs tackle the emotional and social challenges at-risk children and youth face by constructing environments that support the mental and physical welfare of the participants. Our programs give participants the tools to build self-sufficient, productive, healthy lives.

Please note a change in our agenda for tomorrow. We will be having a presentation by the Los Angeles Family AIDS Network (LAFAN) on their recently released educational videos.
Pregnancy and HIV: Discovering the Truth is part of UCLA’s Women and HIV education video series. These scenarios cover stories of women who were pregnant and are living with HIV. They highlight the importance of having a supportive medical team and adherence to HIV medication. Provided are 5 key facts to having a healthy pregnancy and preventing transmission to the baby.
Breaking the Silence on Mental Health and HIV is part of UCLA’s Women and HIV education video series. This video highlights common mental health challenges women living with HIV can encounter. The scenarios help break the silence on mental health and normalizes/encourages seeking support.
